MARRIAGES

Your marriage ceremony is the heart of your wedding day. It’s the setting for your words of love and it creates the atmosphere and style for your celebration.

Every couple has different expectations of their ceremony. You may be living in Auckland or eloping to beautiful New Zealand. You could be thinking small and intimate, big and joyous; simple, informal, heartfelt, traditional, elegant– or a mix of these. Perhaps you’re blending traditions or spiritualities. You may have lots of ideas already or you may be starting with a blank page.

Together, we’ll make it happen. We’ll catch up to talk through your plans and I’ll listen carefully to your wishes. We’ll talk through options and we’ll spin some ideas before I begin the process of crafting your ceremony. Throughout the process, we’ll stay in regular contact. On your wedding day, I’ll arrive early to make sure that everything is in place and I’ll conduct your ceremony. Afterwards, I’ll lodge the official documentation with the Department of Internal Affairs.

Because everyone has different needs and resources, I offer three ceremony options.

OPTION 1 is a bespoke ceremony which is designed uniquely for you. It draws on your story, your ideas, your values and your wedding day plans. I provide a resource package of words and ideas to spark your creativity. A rehearsal is included and you’re very welcome to use my mini sound system.

OPTION 2 is based on a simple, but beautiful, standard ceremony. You’re able to personalise the ceremony by providing your own vows and words for exchange of rings, and you’re welcome to include a reading or a symbolic enactment, such as the lighting of candles. A rehearsal and use of my mini sound system are included.

OPTION 3 is a simple standard ceremony which provides an elegant alternative to a registry office ceremony. I provide your vows and words for the exchange of rings.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

We were incredibly lucky to have Elizabeth as our celebrant. From our first meeting, her warmth and easy nature made us feel relaxed, and we knew our ceremony planning was in safe hands. She was extremely organised and gave us plenty of information to help us build a picture of how our ceremony might run, as well as guiding us through the practical elements of the day.

Most importantly, Elizabeth knew just how to draw out the right information from each of us, and used our stories and comments to craft an incredibly personal and intimate service that we felt really reflected us as a couple. On the day, she was organised, relaxed and such a reassuring presence - we wouldn't have wanted it to be anyone else up there with us!

Hey Elizabeth

Thank you for being part of our getaway wedding!  We loved our little ceremony under the pohutukawa and we especially loved that you blessed us in Maori. The tree and the blessing seemed to shout our marriage in unison and we want to come back in December next year when the tree is in full flower to feel it all once more.  Thanks again. It was a superb day.

We asked Elizabeth to be our celebrant after seeing her conduct a beautiful ceremony for our best friends.  In the months before our wedding, we met a couple of times and I felt that we developed a friendship as we planned our ceremony. Elizabeth was open and fun to work with. She listened carefully to our ideas and gave us a great resource of readings and ideas for the ceremony. She helped us to develop our ideas and we felt that we could rely on her to bring those ideas to life.

Elizabeth delivered on all that we asked of her, and much, much more. Our ceremony was fresh and elegant and Elizabeth based it on the things we’d shared with her. She spoke beautifully, and was able to convey some deep ideas without ever being overly sentimental – just what we wanted.  Our guests loved the ceremony as much as we did.

Elizabeth’s professionalism and personal warmth inspires trust and I warmly recommend her services.

Hi Elizabeth

Jon and I thank you from our hearts for conducting our ceremony on Friday. It was such a warm and personal ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

It was all and more that we could have hoped for.

Hi Elizabeth,

This is just a small note to say thank you so much for co-ordinating the most beautiful wedding ceremony on Friday. You really hit exactly what we wanted - a perfect balance between formality and informality. We have had so many comments saying how meaningful and genuine the ceremony was.

When we get the photos through, we will send you a few of the day.

Thanks once again.
